The Luck Roll is a simple and effective mechanic. If a player asks a simple question they would like to be true or false, you let them roll a d6 for Luck.
"Did the giant fall on top of the shed?" => "Roll a d6"
"Has someone by any chance survived the plague?" => "Roll a d6"
The higher the value, the luckier the result. Easy!
This mechanic has been my highlight in yesterdays game of CY_BORG. I got lucky and a lady from the Hills including her whole security were hypnosed. So I stole her luxurious polar bear fur coat, which may be the fanciest item I've ever gotten in an RPG. And I do love my exotic furs. 😈
To start this blog I rolled my luck, and what can I say, I've actually gotten this exact 6. So it just felt apropriate starting with this post. Lady Fortune is on my side!
